Melissa joined OCF in 2008 to lead a statewide initiative that empowered OCF’s regional Leadership Councils to focus on a community concern, such as children's dental disease, and design a grantmaking strategy to address that problem. Today, she leads the board's efforts to improve Oregon’s economic vitality, children’s dental health, and homelessness and affordable housing. She's passionate about leveraging OCF’s resources through partnerships to create a larger impact. She earned her masters degree in public health from Portland State University. When she’s not working, you will find Melissa at home with two children, running or planning her next river trip.
