Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Brian arrived in Portland in 2016 after completing a Master of Public Administration degree at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey, California and working for several years in Seattle. Prior to joining OCF, he served as the Development Manager at LEAP Wilderness Programs, where his responsibilities ranged from grant writing to organizing events and even guiding on the Lower Salmon River. His professional journey has enabled him to both travel the globe and become more connected to his local community, and he is passionate about building relationships with those who seek to make the world a better place.

Outside of the office, Brian serves on the Board of Directors at the Multnomah Athletic Foundation and plays an active role in teaching seventh and eighth graders about the principles of philanthropy as Co-Chair of the Youth Grant Initiative. He enjoys researching and collecting African art, gardening in his backyard, and exploring the scenic corners of the Pacific Northwest and far-flung destinations around the world with his wife.
