Early-Stage Investment Funds

OCF has invested more than $10.4 million in early-stage venture capital funds that support Oregon-based startups. OCF’s investments support under-resourced sectors and serve diverse entrepreneurs. 

OCF invests 0.5% of our endowment in Oregon-based early-stage venture capital funds. As part of our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, OCF is proud to support funds that are building an equitable economy by investing in businesses founded by women, people of color, veterans, and members of rural communities. To date, the Foundation’s investment in seed and early-stage capital funds has had a significant effect on Oregon’s funding landscape. According to the 2022 Oregon Capital Scan, there is a clear increase in both the value of equity investments in Oregon-based companies and the number of transactions.
