Kim describes her role as a collaborative partner to donors. “My vital job is to listen and learn about donors’ priorities, so that I can share OCF resources and effective ways that they can give back to their communities and favorite causes.” Kim grew up on the Central California coast, but has spent most of her life in Oregon.
After earning her degree in Political Science at UC Davis (and later a graduate degree in public administration from Lewis & Clark College), she discovered the joy of philanthropy while working for Cornell University. This kicked off a fulfilling career serving diverse organizations, including most recently as Director of Development for Oregon State University Foundation and its College of Engineering. Other experience includes working for Portland Community College Foundation and Portland Lan Su Chinese Garden. Kim lives in Portland with her family and two cats.
