With the rise in popularity of Donor Advised Funds, leaving a philanthropic legacy is easier than ever. Yet the decision whether to use a Donor Advised Fund, private foundation, private operating foundation, supporting organization or another vehicle is complex and nuanced. Not knowing the differences between these giving vehicles and the differences in tax deductions often leads to disappointed donors and clients. In this session, we will discuss options for philanthropic planning so that as advisors, we can empower donors and clients to make informed decisions best suited to the particular philanthropy they envision for themselves and their family.
