Spotlight: Alissa Weaver

Attorney Alissa Weaver, whose office is in Jacksonville, turned to OCF when her client wished to leave a charitable legacy as part of her estate plan. Her client, a lifelong volunteer for animal welfare organizations, wanted to support a variety of animal welfare nonprofits, some in Oregon and others in Washington, her previous home. Alissa included the name her client chose for her OCF fund in her trust, and OCF staff assisted by vetting the named beneficiary organizations and documenting them in a fund agreement.
