Advised Funds

Donor advised funds at OCF make grants at the donor's recommendation.

Let Donors Know About Your Nonprofit by Completing an Organization Profile

Most advised funds do not accept applications, but OCF is always looking to share information with donors about organizations and projects that align with their interests. The organization profile tool provides a way for you to submit info about your project or organization to our Donor Relations department. If the information you submit here aligns with a specific donor or family's giving priorities, one of our Donor Relations Officers may choose to reach out to you for more information. Please note that this is not a grant application, nor a guarantee of funding—simply another way of sharing your information with our staff.

The information below is for recipients of advised fund grants.

If your organization has received a grant from an OCF advised fund, our advised fund grantee guidance page will provide more information.

Reporting Your Organization's Progress

We encourage the organizations we support to report to us on their progress, and on how the grant has benefited their community. We often share this information with our fund advisors.

We generally make advised grants at the recommendation of an advised fund donor; they are not the result of a grant application submitted by a nonprofit. Most advised grants support a nonprofit’s general operations or core programs. Therefore, we usually do not require grantees to submit a progress report. An exception may be made if the grant is for a specific project or for a large sum. In these cases, the grant award letter will state if a report is required.
