Kimberlee Salmond is Director of Research & Learning. She joined OCF in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit, think tank and government sectors. Her and the team’s work informs OCF priorities and activities through evaluations that help understand the impact of grantmaking and original research relevant to Oregon, all grounded in principles of equity, relationship building and collaboration, and learning and inquiry. (To see a recent example focused on the systems and structures that build healthy, thriving communities please see Crossroads and Connections: Tracking Oregon’s Progress 2024).

Before joining OCF, Kimberlee was the VP of Research and Impact at Girl Scouts of the USA. Her master’s degree is in women and public policy from the University of Minnesota, and she has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kalamazoo College in Michigan. She is excited to deepen ties with communities across Oregon and continue exploring her (relatively) new home state with the family dog, Frances.
