Change Lives. Fund an OCF Scholarship.

A scholarship says, “I may not know you. But I know you can do it.”

DONATE

Oregonians know: When you learn, you grow. But all too often, high costs hold back bright minds. What if more students could afford to continue learning after high school? You can help bright minds shine with a donation to an Oregon Community Foundation scholarship.

Students across our state need you.

  • 3500+ students received OCF scholarships in 2024.
  • Nearly 10,000 more applied without receiving an award.

Help us fill the gap so more students can pursue career and technical training, attend a four-year college or go further.

William Contreras, a two-time scholarship recipient, says the awards opened the door to an education his “family has never had.” The funding helps cover tuition, books, and tools at Lane Community College. As the first in his family to attend college, he hopes to start his own auto repair business and inspire his younger siblings. “Having been chosen means a lot,” he says, because I can set a good example.”

Hope-Ann Whitaker, a two-time scholarship recipient from rural Central Oregon, returned to school in her 30s to pursue a career in science and technology. After struggling with school in the past, she’s now excelling. Hope-Ann credits the scholarship with easing financial pressures, allowing her to focus on her education. “This time around I am an A and B student; I even made the honor roll,” she says.
